  • MERCY SPECIAL LEARNING CENTER TO RECEIVE GIFT FROM IRON PIGS CHARITIES

    Alletown, PA (Special)-- Mercy Special Learning Center, a Lehigh Valley-based school for children with special needs, has been awarded a grant of $2,500 from Iron Pigs Charities. The announcement was made by Bridget L. Muehlenkamp, principal at Mercy.

    Iron Pigs Charities, presented by the Air Products Foundation, is a non-profit organization striving to provide educational and recreational opportunities for children in the Lehigh Valley area. Mercy was among more than twenty organizations who will be beneficiaries of more than $90,000 in gifts.

    "Mercy is grateful for the support from Iron Pigs Charities," said Muehlenkamp. "We are proud they recognize the good works Mercy does in educating the whole child and young adult in the areas of physical, social, emotional, intellectural, and spiritual development in a supportive Christian environment," she added.

    All of the non-profit organizations will be recognized at the Iron Pigs' third annual Phillies Caravan on January 27 at Billera Hall, DeSales University, Center Valley.
